Every rating assumes perfect rune setup and the ability to hit the next hardness gate.

Mining power is binary: fail the gate and the pickaxe does nothing. Ratings factor in luck and rune slots.

Requirement: 39 Power

Cobalt/Titanium territory.

Basalt Vein

Requirement: 78 Power

Mythril pick milestone; Ruby gate.

Volcanic Rock

Requirement: 100 Power

Lightite pick entry.

Future gates

Requirement: 115+

Arcane/Demonic overflow for future content.

Tools that open new content and stack luck/runes.

Race synergy

Swap races before big purchases or mining sessions to maximize value.

Dwarf

+15% mining damage + crit mining. Helps borderline power picks break gates earlier.

Goblin

12% shop discount—swap before buying expensive picks.

Angel

+25% luck stacks with Arcane pick for rare drops.

Demon

Dash bug currently required to reach Demonic pick room.

Follow this ladder to hit every gate without wasting coins.

Step 1

Iron Pick ($500)

First real upgrade. Farm small rocks.

Step 2

Stonewake Pick ($3,333)

Break Boulders and rush mid game.

Step 3

Cobalt Pick ($10k)

Entry to Forgotten Kingdom luck farming.

Step 4

Mythril Pick ($67.5k)

Break Basalt Vein for Ruby. Mandatory.

Step 5

Arcane Pick quest

Complete Bard + Fallen Angel questline for 3-slot luck monster.

Step 6

Demonic Pick

Optional flex goal; saves for future gates.
